Nothing like replying to a post 6 years after...Hi!

Nothing like replying to a post 6 years after the fact, but I just spent about an hour coming up with a massive list of non-Japanese covers albums before I realized your review of Sweat Box was from 2006, so I'm posting it, dhermit.
Actually, that would take up way too much space, so I'll just say that the idea (for me)started with David Bowie's "Pin-Ups" album - not the first, but the first I cared about. John Lennon's "Rock & Roll" was another. Lots of major rock acts have done it - Metallica, Guns'n Roses, Aerosmith, Rush, Def Leppard, etc. Lots of "alternative" acts have sone it too - Joan Jett, Redd Kross, the Ramones, Ministry, uh...well my mind just went blank, but the shrt(er) version is that I really don't think it's necessarily a "Japanese thing" - though speaking of Japanese things, the Cymbals' cover album, which I've forgotten the name of (Covers?) is great. As is the Supersnazz album.

Oh, now the paragraph thing works...well, that's it. I enjoy your blog very much.neonzebrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02249191720762987645noreply@blogger.com
